Description: The DH Informatics Directorate currently support two initiatives for the provision of end user IT skills - Essential IT Skills (EITS) and the Microsoft Academies.
This focus group is one of 3 regional sessions to plan how end user IT skills provision should be supported post March 2011, capturing the views of key stakeholders who have participated in previous end user skills initiatives.

Background information

This focus group is intended to:
- To identify what in the current provision has worked well, and what has not been successful.
- Identify what the current requirements are to support end user IT skills
- To establish the requirements of a full IT skills development programme for 2011/12 onwards
- Identify options for how these requirements may be fulfilled
- Prioritise and identify the benefits of these options
